Built by a working geologist.
StrixGeo is built by Robin Vorsselmans, a geologist in Belgium. On real projects, ground investigation data arrives from many parties in many formats: CPTs, boreholes and laboratory results, each in their own files and conventions. Turning that into one consistent, defensible ground model takes far more stitching together than it should.
StrixGeo exists to close that gap. It brings the investigations together, interprets them into stratigraphic, lithological and geotechnical models, and produces a single ground model you can trace back to the data. It builds the ground model, derives parameters and statistics with the raw data always in view, and leaves the design checks to the tools you export to.
The principles behind it are simple: honesty, transparency and precision. A ground model is only useful if you can trust it and follow it back to where it came from.
Want to help shape it? StrixGeo is free and open source: download it, read the code and open an issue on GitHub, or email info@strixgeo.com.
